Even though Google search the Home page may look blank with simple options, Their Doodles are always famous. When it is a Popular Day or The day can have some fun, they try adding a few games. Google has various platforms and dedicated platforms for Arts and Culture. The motto of this platform is to understand and discover our Ancient culture with trusted sources. The Descent of the Serpent game in Google Arts and Culture

The Google Arts & Culture division has launched an exciting new game for education that focuses on the history of Mesoamerica. The game The Descent of the Serpent is available to play now through your browser or Google’s Google Arts & Culture iOS and Android apps.

What exactly is the Game About?

The game involves locating the lost objects and returning the items to Chichen Itza in time for the solstice. This is when the sun casts shadows over the sculptures in a manner that resembles the snake that descends the monument’s steps- which is the inspiration behind the game’s title. In the game, players will discover fascinating, unique, and engaging aspects of the ancient Mesoamerican culture and confront mythological characters that will test their knowledge acquired throughout the adventure.

When you visit the museum, an important artifact is taken from Tezcatlipoca, The Lord of the Smoking Mirror, and a living statue needs your assistance to retrieve 20 icons that are part of the artifact to stop flooding from taking over the globe. Naturally, you’ll accept, and the statue promises they’ll take you back to ancient Mesoamerica.

What is the best way to Play?

The Descent of the Serpent is an ideal game for players of all ages to play, learn from, and often revisit to beat their highest score repeatedly if they choose to. Try it out on goo.gle/serpent or Google Arts & Culture, the Google Arts & Culture iOS or Android application.

Game Walkthrough

You can choose one of four cute animal “disguises” to play as your characters, all rooted in Mesoamerican culture. I went with Huitzilopochtli, which the wolf represents. However, you could also choose to play Xolotl (the canine), Xbalanque (the jaguar) as well as Mictlantecuhtli (the Owl).

As you explore the world in Descent of The Serpent, you must avoid simple obstacles such as wandering crocodiles, monkeys, and acrobats that throw objects at you. When playing the game’s easy difficulty, being hit makes you numb for a duration. You’re hit with a “challenge” mode on “challenge” mode. The player is on a timer and returns to the start of the game after five hits. You’ll need to be cautious. I’d suggest most players stick to the standard difficulty. I’m not sure if it is a game that’s superior by being more complex.

Wrap Up

Whenever Google releases a game in doodles, It is always something special, and lots of users always participate in the game at least once. The game has limited controls, and it is a primary game. But the motto here is to learn and understand the culture with fun activities. The game is not limited to Students. It is suitable to play for all age groups.
