Asus ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro Launched

Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers), Phone 6 series consists of 2 models. There are two models: the base and the Pro. Both run on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, Qualcomm revealed a few months ago. It has some performance and efficiency improvements that should go well with this line’s gaming focus.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gan 1 should also be kept cool with Asus’ upgraded cooling system. Both use the same FHD+ 6.78-inch AMOLED display. It can run at 165Hz – 160 frames per second – and has a touch sampling rate of 720Hz and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. This is claimed to reduce the CPU temperature up to 10degC.

Variants

Base models are available with 12GB or 16GB RAM. The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro only comes with 18GB. Both models offer storage space that isn’t expandable at 256GB and 512GB.

Pricing and availability

ROG Phone 6 will retail at EUR 999 in Europe. The ROG Phone 6 Pro will retail at EUR 1,299.
