Google Pixel 6a launched with Tensor Processor and Five Years of Updates for $449

The Success of Google hardware products is along with the new technologies; they constantly adapt and improvise their products with a reasonable price range. In Early-stage, Google struggled to sell the Pixel series against other competitors like Samsung. Due to additional taxes and other charges, they can’t sell the Pixel series for the same price in all countries. So, They introduced new “a” series. To be surprised, the Pixel 3a series made huge sales and surpassed OnePlus sales in that quarter. After Pixel 3a, users always expect the new affordable mobile launch. Google Pixel 6a Specifications

The Pixel 6a sports an FHD 2,340×1,080-pixel+ OLED display capped at 60 Hz. It’s worth mentioning that this is the first low-cost phone by Google that comes with an in-display fingerprint reader to provide biometric security. The display is also covered with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3, similar to the coverage found with Google’s Google Pixel 5a, launched last year.

Although it is the price of a mid-range smartphone, Pixel 6a comes with a Titan M2 security processor that makes it one of the safest Android phones.

Processor

Tensor comes with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage and a mAh battery of 4,306mAh that allows rapid charging. Google promises up to 72 hours in a single charge using the battery-saving mode Extreme. Unfortunately, there’s no place for a 3.5mm headphone connector on the Pixel A-series model for the first time.

Sony IMX363 and IMX386. There’s a 12.2-megapixel wide-angle and ultra-wide 12-megapixel shooter, an IMX363 model. On the top, the centrally-located punch-hole notch houses eight-megapixel selfie cameras from Sony’s IMX355.

Software Features

For the first time, Magic Eraser, Real Tone, and Face Unblur are all available in the Pixel 6a model. The camera’s selfie resolution is limited to 1080p and has 30 frames per second. Video recording in 4K. 30 and 60fps are feasible, with the 1080p video recording available at 30 or 60 FPS. Slow-mo video recording with 1080p resolution is possible at speeds of 240fps.

OS and Security Patch Updates

Google has pledged to provide three years’ worth of Android updates and five years’ worth of security upgrades on Google’s Pixel 6a. This means that support will expire in 2027 for the basic 2022 made with a Google smartphone.

Availability and Price

Pixel 6a will be available from July 21 straight through Google Store from July 21 directly Google Store or brick-and-mortar stores starting July 28 for $449. The colors are mint green, black, and silver/gray. In the beginning, the Pixel 6a will be limited to the US and Japan, and Japan. Still, more regions such as Australia, Canada, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Republic of Ireland, Spain, and Singapore will anticipate a delay in launch.
