Download Motorola One Power Android 10 Stock ROM

There is no wonder; Android One Devices always get fast updates compare with the regular custom Skin Mobiles. Nokia always pushes the updates first in this line. But, Moto is not great at maintaining updates. Even If Google is responsible for the updates, some somethings should be supported by Moto. But, Fortunately Motorola One Power, aka P30 Note(China Region), got Android 10 Upgrade. As usual, you can update your mobile using the Software update option in settings. But, When you can’t do the update, You can use the below method.  Here I mentioned two ways. Try with the Internal way first. It is a natural process compare with the ADB and Fastboot method. When you place the file in the Internal memory, Don’t put the data in any folder. It should be on the Internal Memory Root folder.

There are plenty of features like Enhanced Location management and Battery Life Improvements that are added in this update. This device is based on Android One, So, You can sideload the firmware. Don’t use the RSD Lite tool to flash the firmware.

Pre-Requirement Steps

You should perform these steps before starting the process.

Run a backup

Always and always, you must run a comprehensive backup of all files, documents, and data on the Android device to be worked on. While the action may be done by a professional, if there be any mistakes, all data on the Mobile will be lost.

So, to be on the safe side, do run a backup first before continuing.

Charge the device fully

A lot of people will say you should charge the device up to 50% battery percentage or more. We recommend a fully loaded device so that there won’t be any stories.

Download ADB drivers, and ROM

  • Yeah, it is essential. You must download and install the ADB drivers on the PC, which you’ll be using for this action.
  • Download Motorola One Power Android 10 ROM. Copy this file to ADB Folder if you prefer to use the Stock Recovery Method. Or Else copy this file to Internal Root memory.

Official OTA Method

If you want to update a security patch to the current month. Don’t go for the manual method. Try this Automatic method.

The process is straightforward and simple;

  • Tap on “Software Update”

  • You may have to refresh the page to start the OTA upgrade process.

Manual Method

Using Internal Memory Method

This method doesn’t require  PC support, download, and installs within your mobile. It will work if you have Stock Oreo firmware installed on your mobile. If you are already using Custom OS, move to the next method.

  • Copy downloaded firmware to your mobile, Rename it to Blur_Version.zip, and copy it to your Internal Root Memory. Copy>> Internal memory. Don’t put in any folder, and Don’t change the name of the file.
  • Now Go to settings >> Apps and Notifications >> Show all apps >> Show system apps.

App Permissions

  • Go to Motorola Update service >> Permissions >> Enable Storage permissions. After enabling this permission. Now update as usual OTA Method.
  • Go to your device setting menu and scroll down to the bottom

  • Tap on “Software Update”

  • You may have to refresh the page to start the OTA upgrade process. Instead of download from Server, this update process will update from your Internal memory.

Using ADB and Fastboot method (Stock Recovery)

This method requires PC support; You can also use this method to use Stock ROM If you are using Custom ROMs.

  • Copy your downloaded firmware to PC and rename it to firmware.zip. Copy those files to the folder where you installed ADB and Fastboot.
  • Switch off your device. Then, enter into the Stock Recovery mode. To do this- Press and hold down the Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time for some time.

Live Caption

  • You know this already, If you turn on Subtitles in the Youtube, It will auto-generate the captions. The Same functionality can be work on all over your device videos. It Doesn’t require Wi-Fi/ Data. This feature not yet available. But, It will be rolling out soon.

Live Caption Android 10

  • Languages are limited as per Google Data.

Smart Reply

Smart Reply Android 10

  • It is already available in the Pie version. But it is limited. Now you can explore more actions when you get the messages. You can Open Links, Open Apps based on the messages.

Sound Amplifier

  • We always do this using Third-party apps. Now we can adjust the Volume and Tune, Equalize using the in-built feature. You can do a lot of things like Reduce noise, Enhance the Tune like that.

Enhanced Gesture Navigation

Android 10 Gesture Navigation

  • The True Gesture Navigation has finally arrived. It may not be best compare with OnePlus devices, But It is way better than the Pie 9.0 version. If you swipe From Left to Right, It goes forward. Right to Left goes Backward. Home button work as usual. Recently used apps can be accessed By Swiping Quarter Screen to the Top. Simple Navigation to avoid confusion.

Dark Mode

  • It is not like Night Mode. It didn’t add a filter in the Display. If you have OLED Display, It will surely save your battery power from 5-30% based on your usage.

Privacy

Android 10 Privacy Tab

  • Google always added enhanced Privacy features in every Android version. In the 10th version, You can handle your Privacy lot better. It will always tell you when your installed apps access your location in the Background. So, that you can manage whether you need that permission on Always or During the app usage.

Direct System Updates

  • Unlike regular OTA updates from your Manufacturers, the regular patch updates will be handled by Google After you updated to Android 10 version. It can be done using your Google Play App. If you have Custom Skin OS from your Manufacturer, Google will not change the UI. They will handle only Patch updates. This is one of the most critical steps taken from their side. It will help all the users who are tired of their Manufacturer Late updates.

Focus Mode

Android 10 Focus Mode

  • It can be an additional function of Digital Wellbeing. Now you can Pause some apps to avoid the Notifications For a short time or a Long time. Some mobiles are made based on this scenario. To avoid distractions and get focused on what you are doing. Think you are Studying, and Single Whatsapp message can redirect you. With the help of this feature, you can use only Study apps during your Study time.

Family Link

  • It is like Parental Control. You can control the App Timings within your Added Google Accounts.

Other improvements and changes

  • HEIF Image, Monochrome Camera Support.
  • New Set of Emoji.
  • Enhanced Adaptive Battery Improvements compare with the Pie version.
  • Contaminant Detection- If any moistures are in your USB Ports, your mobile will alert you.

Final Words

If you are in Stock firmware, Use the ADB based method. It is comfortable and safe; You can update like a Regular OTA Update. But if you were already using Rooted devices, You can try TWRP based Method. Don’t download any third-party apps; sometimes, it may trigger the updates process. There are a lot of new Gestures available in this Update, try them also. In my opinion, Motorola One Power near Stock Android is better to compare with some other Custom Skin OS. So try to use this OS instead of a Custom OS. But the decision is your choice…:)

  1. Hey, I want to ask about the stock recovery from adb.
My device is unlocked, but I want to upgrade it with stock rom of android 10. I have installed twrp. So if I press volume down and power, there will be fastboot mode. Can the adb method will work with that?
There is no option for an apple(MAC) update via adb.

    • Yes. You should have Stock Firmware with the TWRP. USe Sideload or Copy the file in SD Card and use TWRP Install zip file method.

  2. Can you provide the latest android ten rom for one power XT1942-1?
It seems like this Using Internal Memory Method doesn’t work for me.

  3. I follow All the instructions but doesn´t work with my phone, the .zip file I rename it as “Blur Version” (without the “and with the .zip) and put in in the SD card and the internal shared memory, but Motorola update service still saying “your software is up-to-date.”
and that service has enabled the storage permission
I shut down the phone, restarted, etc… but nothing works…

  4. My device is stuck on Android 9, Feb 2019, security update. OTA and Internal Memory Method both say the device is up to date. I tried Using ADB and Fastboot.
Hold down Volume Down + Power doesn’t display any warning; instead, it gets me a screen I can scroll through options to Start, Restart Bootloader, Recover Mode, Power Off, Factory Mode, BP Tools, QCOM, Bootloader Logs, Switch Tools Mode, and Barcodes.
From this screen, Fastboot devices on the PC finds the phone, but the adb command fails with:
adb: sideload connection failed: no devices/emulators found
    adb: trying pre-KitKat sideload method…
adb: pre-KitKat sideload connection failed: no devices/emulators found

    Any thoughts?

  5. Pls, disregard the previous comment. Got into Recovery Mode and adb starts but fails at ~48%.
“Package is for source build 9a9d1, but expected C2140. Installation aborted.”
There’s 20GB free on internal storage, so that’s not the problem. How do I get around this error?

    • You are in Pie, So, The first package file should work on your device. Try with Apply Update from SD card.

      • Hi, thanks for the reply. I have 2 of these phones, both XT1942-1 models, so rather than messing with my daily driver, I’m working with the spare.
The spare won’t go into Recovery Mode. From Fastboot, highlight Recovery mode and press power. On one phone, this brings up the dead Android icon, and power/volume upstarts Recovery Mode.
But on the spare, after I highlight Recovery mode and press power, the screen just blanks for 2 seconds and then comes back to Fastboot way.
USB Debugging is enabled…what am I missing?

          • Hi, the same message comes after trying to update through ADB, source build 9adl but expected c2140. Can you tell me how to update this through any other method, the phone is XT1942-1.
