You should Install Magisk in the First TWRP Boot. Or Else you will lose root access and TWRP. Repeat the steps. If you can’t boot into OS, You should flash Stock Firmware back.

Up to Oreo version, you will not lose data in the rooting process. But, It is better to full backup data when you boot into TWRP.

After getting a “PASS” message? Or during the flash? No Problem. Flash Firmware using ODIN. Your mobile will back to the normal stage.

Hello, every time I try to flash TWRP, it boots into the stock recovery instead.
I turned off auto-boot in ODIN, but this also happens since, as soon as I exit download mode, the phone reboots. When trying to go into recovery mode from there, it just puts me in stock.

Also, after flashing and manually rebooting into TWRP recovery doing a wipe, it’s the most. So got to reset and erase all data. That will un-encrypt the storage of the phone. Reboot in recovery. Do a wipe, reboot. When TWRP asks for install, just tap NO. Install Magisk Manager and follow instructions.

After trying to push stock recovery (Android 8.1.0), I have that in Odin :
    Added!!
    Enter CS for MD5.
Check MD5. Do not unplug the cable.
    Please wait..
    Checking MD5 finished Successfully.

If someone has a way to reset everything…
Honestly, Samsung devices are a mess for root…
On my OnePlus 3, you push with adb, then TWRP installs root, and that’s all. First, try. No error. Nothing wrong…

I remember my Galaxy S3 was a mess, too, in some cases. Almost brick it…
