  1. What am I doing wrong!!! I find the recovery image from the firmware, copy it to the download file on my phone, start magisk ad the file it works, I find the majisk_patched.img file……… at that point do I rename it in the phone or just cut and paste it to my pc but where. because when I start fastboot it recognizes the phone, but when I run fastboot it says
    error: cannot load ‘recovery.img’

      • I ran the magisk manager chose the image. Then I went to the file patched file copied it and paradise it in adb folder, renamed it recovery.
I should think of none something was wrong because every time I go in or out of fastboot, it would say false key.
The result….after the final step I tried to reboot, it went to a screen that said BAD KEY, and after a moment it goes to another with like a 16 did get number with spaces every four digits, and it blinks.
It will respond to the power volume down. It goes into a fast boot, but if you try any of the options besides the bars, the model description, and so on, it goes right back to the blinking numbers. When I took it to the computer, it recognizes the device, but I think since I can’t get to the recovery when I run it, the recovery is anything, it reboots into the numbers. WOW

      • Sorry for the late reply.
Did you unlock your mobile Correctly? Check the Status of the Bootloader. Your Mobile version and the Boot.img should be the same. If you update your mobile with the security patch, flash the firmware according to that.

  2. Hey Selva
Thx for this guide, can you help me? I followed this guide on another website, and what happened is that it said the image was unsigned, and it would post a weird series of letters when I started the phone, but it still worked. Then I went into magicdsk and to patch a file to try your method, and there was a new option for magicdsk to install the image, and I did this, and then my phone was rooted!
Then I restarted it, and it wasn’t rooted anymore. I am afraid to use your guide because what if your files are unsigned? Can you provide an email? You have one of the only guides to root an e6.

    • Here we are using Magisk based method. Not TWRP. You have to patch the firmware from the official mirror. What here we are giving is Official version firmware. So, there will be no issues.

  3. After unlocking the bootloader, the phone will be stuck on the “bad key” screen for several seconds until booting to the system or fastboot mode. Any way to fix the “bad key” screen?

  4. I patched the file in my phone copied to the computer, but it is not signed. This is what I got:
    Image not signed or corrupt.
