Root Samsung Galaxy Note 10/Plus Snapdragon SM-N9700/N9750 Pie 9.0 using TWRP and Magisk

When you bought Snapdragon variants in Samsung Galaxy devices, you can expect extraordinary performance, But when it is coming to developing methods like Rooting, you will be more restricted. That’s why Snapdragon processor devices get late rooting ways, or they will come with limited features. But, Chinese variants are different. Here I mentioned the root method for Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Plus Variant Snapdragon Pie 9.0 versions. Please refer to the model number (N9700 and N9750 only); This method won’t work with the US variants. In my opinion, you should have a strong reason for rooting. Compare with the Magisk based approach, this method is simple and gives you full freedom to use Custom ROMs. But Performance is your concern. You have a well-optimized device already. After the root, you will lose official updates from Samsung. So, If you are a regular user, and you know what you are doing, you can proceed. When anything goes wrong, no problem, you can restore your mobile by flashing the firmware using ODIN.

If you are a Developer or Regular Root apps user, The great news is we have TWRP. So you can try multiple Custom ROMs and can reach all Root levels. But, you can’t root like Old method. We need to unlock the bootloader. It is only one extra step. So, to reduce confusion, I split the Steps into small parts. The First one is the Unlock Bootloader. And the Second one is flashing TWRP and installing files using TWRP. The method is based on Official TWRP so that we can expect a high success rate.

Why should you Root Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus?

You should have a strong reason for rooting. Samsung Already released One UI 9.0 Pie and is already optimized. You have More than Enough 8/12 GB RAM and Powerful Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 processor to use daily apps without Lag. You can use this device without lag for years until Samsung mess with some Bloatware. But beyond, this not go reasons, you are addicted to some root apps, or you are a frequent user of some Custom OS, you can proceed further. But if you want to root because everybody is doing, I advise you, don’t root If you didn’t have any experience. For regular users, It can become a Nightmare.

  1. Hello,
I have a question from TWRP recovery mode, Do I have to Wipe Data? And that means all data will be gone, including photos, apps, etc…?

    • Yes, Without deleting user data, your mobile may fall into Bootloop. It is necessary. But, When you Boot into TWRP in the first Boot, Take Complete Backup before installing Magisk and other files. You can restore them later.

        • After Pie 9.0 version, Google disabled the call recording feature for security purposes. You need Root to record calls in a full function. Or Wait for some time. Google is working on native call recording feature. After the release, Samsung will roll out in upcoming updates.

  2. There’s still no way for me to find ‘OEM unlocker’ on my Verizon Note 10+ running Snapdragon.

Is there any word yet on how to access OEM without waiting for 7 days?

    • Verizon devices are too hard to root. This method is supporting only the Chinese variant. Don’t try with other US Carriers. It will brick your mobile. We already mentioned this in the Note. Why Do You need Rooting? If you say your purpose, I can suggest some alternatives.

  3. Hello, good afternoon, I have followed this entire tutorial, and it worked correctly. Still, the problem was that the memories, internal and external, are encrypted, or something is happening with the entire general storage system, and I do not have access to them to modify, there They are physically, and I can get into them. Still, I can’t get anything in or out of them, I ask you for a solution, please. Thank you.

      • Thank you very much for the quick response, and I think I have found the error, my problem was not doing the Data / Factory Reset step before I made the Kernel and DM verity files flash. If that step is not done, the device is left without access to internal memory, and the “KG State: Prenormal” “Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed” is activated… So the case is solved, thanks. But I would like to know if it is necessary, or if it does not affect to flash the file “RMM_Bypass_v3_corsicanu.zip”, to prevent the “Prenormal KG / RMM State” and at what time or in what order should I do it?

        • If you didn’t get RMM state, yo don’t need to flash the file. But As a precaution, we advise our friends to flash the file. If you can access your mobile without any error, you don’t have to worry.
