Paramount Plus Ad-Supported $5 Plan is Coming

Due to Streaming services are increasing day by day, Users have to purchase lots of stream services. We can’t fill all our contents within One service; It results in multiple streams spent. All of the popular stream services come with a basic plan from $9.99. So, Starter Stream services begin to provide low price Ad-Supported plans. Other than popular Stream libraries like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, most studios begin to start their own platforms at the same price. But there is no high value for those subscriptions. Most of the users stick to the service for only one or two shows. To benefit those users, they begin to provide low price Ad-supported subscriptions. In this list, Now Paramount Plus started Ad-Supported $5 Plan with some limitations.

Paramount Plus (+)

Paramount Plus is an American video streaming platform launched on October 28, 2014, and its headquarters in New York City. Paramount Plus is the combination of the CBS and Viacom merger in 2019. It has a CBS all access and Viacom properties into one service. CBS All Access rebranded in the name of Paramount Plus, and it added more new content along with it. Users need a monthly subscription to access content and having 36 million users as of now.

Paramount Plus having the feature more than 30,000 episode and movies from CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and more. Also, having access to live shows, sports, and news with CBS station. So, we can say Paramount Plus is the home of the world’s favorite stars, stories, and Brands.

Available Plans

We already told that Paramount Plus having some subscriptions for their users; let’s discuss the plans in detail. If you are new to Paramount Plus, you will be having the option called “Try it Free.” To choose this option, first, you need to go to the Paramount Plus website, click “Try it Free,” and choose the plan that you need. At the bottom of the subscription plan, has an option of Save over 15% off the monthly price with an annual plan.” Then create your account. For new members, you can get a seven-day free trial.

  • The ad-supported plan in Paramount Plus is $6/month and $60/year.
  • The Premium Plan is $10/month and $100/year; it is an ad-free subscription.
  • When you sign up through Prime Video, Amazon offers you a free month of Paramount Plus to Prime members, and once the promo got over, you can start billing through your Amazon account.

Paramount Plus Ad-Supported New $5 Plan

Now Paramount Plus gives their users more excitement by giving their platform an even cheaper of just $5. It is an ad-supported plan and half the price of its premium plan, and it is also called an “Essential” plan. This new plan will replace an older $6 Tier carried over from CBS All Access and but there are some caveats. They will introduce this new plan on June 7, 2021.

The Premium Plan of $10/month includes the Commercial-free plan with local and national news coverage, but in this new plan national news, CBS only includes. In addition, premium users will be having sports coverage and support for offline downloads. In contrast, this new plan doesn’t support it—the company offering this new plan with some limited commercial programming.

The subscribers in the $6 plan can remain on that tier if they choose, but if a limited commercial subscriber switches to the new $5 plan, they cannot switch back to the $6 tier.

As we discussed before, this new plan replaces the $6 plan, and the only difference is that the $6 plan will have local news coverage. This is the advantage of pay an extra $1. But on the other side, it offers the best in sports, news, and entertainment, and both plans have “tens of thousands of TV episodes and movies,” including originals.

New alternate cheaper plans from the new stream services is a great idea. It can break the ice of the user’s decision to choose whether to subscribe to it or not. Later Due to Ad distractions, Most of the users always opt-in for AD-free plans. It is a business strategy. Already HBO Max announced Ad-supported $10/month plan. On the other hand, Users also benefit from new plans. Even if Paramount has a wide library, they have to bring users new offers. Fortunately, the low price Ad-Supported plans are a successful model in any streaming platform, So, Paramount Plus Ad-Supported $5 Plan will use for both users and the platform.
