If you don’t know how much RAM you need, You will never use this much RAM. You should not Boot into Normal OS Booting, by pressing the power button, after firmware flash. It will boot you to Non-Rooted environment. If you accidentally urged and boot frequently, Don’t panic, after setup everything, switch off your device and boot into Rooted OS using above mentioned keys. If you root your device, because of the battery drain issues, you can optimize your battery without root.

  1. Hey, thanks for the article!
    A question of understanding, though:
Why do we have to patch the boot image file with Magisk?
What does the patching do with the file?
And is there a way to patch on the PC without the phone?

    • After the Pie Update, Samsung added a lot of Security measures. So, We can’t flash TWRP directly to root our mobile. We have to modify the Boot file of your OS. That’s where magisk comes to help us. So, using this method, we can get root access without TWRP. When we want TWRP, we can flash using ODIN. But, Without modifying firmware, we can’t flash TWRP.

      • Hey, thanks for your answer!
Also: is there a way to patch the files without access to the phone? Like on the PC?
The thing is, I used a different guide earlier to flash TWRP with Odin. Unfortunately, that bricked my phone, so that it now boots directly into download mode.
I can still access it with Odin, which gives me the hope of being able to repair it if I can flash the correct files. Just cant patch them with Magisk, as I can’t boot my phone properly :(

        • You can use any phone to patch the firmware. The thing is You should only flash the Patched firmware in Correct model. You can also use Android Emulators to Install magisk and patch the Firmware.

          • Hey,
            thanks for the answer!
So if I want to run magisk on an emulator to patch the firmware, does it have to run the same processor, etc. to emulate the right model.
Do you know a good emulator that can do that?

        • I have a solution for your problem; once you flash twrp or ROMs, make sure you’re [OEM SHOULD BE ENABLE]on your developer options whenever you restart or switch off your phone stock at boot animations. Make sure you check “OEM”is enable or not that the reason behind our phone bricked again.

  2. Hey Selva,
    Just a quick, curious question…
If the TWRP works for SM-A105G? From what I knew so far(as of the time this message was written), it only works for Exynos or SM-A105F model only right? Want to make sure if it’s working, would’ve performed the September security patch of a firmware update of my SM-A105G with TWRP… Anyway, a bunch of thanks in advance for the above info, such an awesome one, mine pleasurable of appreciation for saying that it doesn’t mind to update me whether the TWRP is working on SM-A105G please & thumbs up to you yeah…

    • I can see a lot of excitement in your comment..:) Yes, You can root your mobile using this method, A10 mobiles comes with Exynos 7884 processor. So, We can root our mobiles. But, If it is your first time, Read the full article so that you can make arrangements before the process. In my opinion, If you root for Custom ROMs, There is no official ROMs are available. So, It is better to stay with this one UI. If you root for using root apps, you can try the VMOS Virtual Root App before this method.

    • Above TWRP 3.2.2 version supports Pie Version. But, After the Pie Update, Samsung added extra security measures. So, We have to modify the firmware. That’s why we patch the firmware first. Yes, It will work.

    • My Samsung A105f is telling me emergency calls only after I updated the system software please what can be done. I hardly use the phone to make calls or surf the Internet now.

      • Did you already root your mobile, or It happened when you update your mobile using OTA update using Software update option in settings?

  3. Hi,
I can not go on to the second stage. I can not recover. The device switches directly to download mode. Whichever key I put directly into the download mode. I wonder where I did it wrong.
I would be glad if you help.

    • You should flash the patched AP along with the three unpatched files. After the “PASS” message in ODIN, Press Volume Down+ Power to exit download mode and Press Volume Up+ Power to boot into recovery mode.

        • We mentioned earlier; This method is not like a regular Samsung Rooting method. You should carefully patch and flash the exact firmware file first. Without flashing the patched firmware file, you can’t install the TWRP. After the Unlock Bootloader process, If you got grey OEM to unlock, wait for 3-4 Days. In rare situations, It can happen. You can enable the OEM after these days.

  4. Hi
When I’m flashing my phone with Odin, it stuck at sboot.bin.lz4
    And this is the log
    Checking MD5 finished Successfully.
    Leave CS.
    Odin engine v(ID:3.1207).
    NAND Write Start!!
    Single download.
    Can you help me?

        • Hi, I am a Little bit of confused here. Did you get the error when patching with Magisk or ODIN? Because after the patch, you will only get magiks_patched.tar file not, .lz4 file.

          • I already fix this problem. My phone oem has a problem, so I flash my phone, and I can flash the magisk_patched.tar. But I got a new problem. When I press volume down and power and immediately press volume up and power, I go back to download mode, and it writes error verifying vbmeta.img.

            Got any ideas?

          • I’m passed that step. But when I try to patch twrp with your method, my phone got a boot loop. Have an idea?

          • You should flash the patched firmware before this process. This method has Two patched file flash method.

  5. let me explain to you my problems with this method
    1. My oem bootloader is unlocked(it says Bootloader already unlocked)but I can t tap on the bottom because it is stuck and gray
    2. I patched the AP from the software you linked above but when I try to flash my phone return to Download mode, but after a few tries, I succeed but
    3. When I succeed to flash it I can’t flash TWRP(Odin says FAIL) I use the same Odin 1,13,1
My phone is Samsung Galaxy A10 SM-105f

    • Unlike Xiaomi devices, Samsung, most of the time, only has TWRP recovery. There are no other variants. If we find, We will update. As for now, the TWRP is only the stable version available.

  6. Hello sir
My phone SM-A105F from Saudi . I can’t use the local sim in Indonesia.
Can you help to unlock the network?

  7. Hello, I have a Master’s Degree in computer sciences, but unfortunately, I am unable to root and change IME in MY Samsung galaxy A10F. I bring this mobile from Saudi Arabia. Pls, Anyone helps me to root my mobile.

    • You know mobile and computer-related topics. So, I think I can explain it to you quickly. We can’t change IME using the Root method, which is hardware related. You have to contact the nearby service center regarding this.

    • If you lock the bootloader, most of the root apps will not work. It also affects the Superuser permissions.
