In my opinion, you don’t need rooting. If you thought, you could Improve Performance By root, With the Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 and 4 GB RAM, your device can perform well. If you don’t know how much RAM you need, You will never use this much RAM. You should not Boot into Normal OS Booting, by pressing the power button, after firmware flash. It will boot you to Non-Rooted environment. If you accidentally urged and boot frequently, Don’t panic, after setup everything, switch off your device and boot into Rooted OS using above mentioned keys. If you root your device, because of the battery drain issues, you can optimize your battery without root.

    • You should flash the Unpatched Three files along with the patched AP File in the first part. Or Else your mobile will not work correctly. Now, you have root access on your device. Check With Root Checker. This step is enough for using Root apps. If you want to use Custom ROM or some advanced levels, you need to flash TWRP. In this part. We Un-checked Auto-Reboot. So, We should exit download made and Boot into TWRP in the first boot. If you missed, you will lose TWRP. After that, follow the above steps and flash the required files. If you want to back to normal, Flash the Stock Firmware directly using ODIN without extracting firmware files.

  4. I patched my phone with Odin, installed Magisk Manager, downloaded the zip file, and Patch Boot Image File and Select the Boot Image file, doesn’t work.
Also, I’m confused; you can boot your phone in boot patched and unpatched kernels?
Do I need to disable the auto-reboot on Odin?
I tried, but the root doesn’t work, but also, my Samsung apps don’t work because it says I tried to root.
    I’m perplexed
    I tried this tutorial before
    http://www.androidinfotech.com/samsung-galaxy-j6-plus-sm-j610f-fn-g-pie/

only now I find out this one.

    • When you flash firmware, you don’t have to un-tick the auto-reboot. But, Here we are flashing the patched file. So, You have to Un-tik the Auto-Reboot. After the flash exit download mode and next boots into recovery mode and follow further instructions.

      • When correctly are you doing flash on magisk-patched.tar while it contains boot.img? Is it ok to install it through twrp?

          • ikr, just asking what I should do with the magisk-patched.tar file? Should I flash it with a single file for the PDA file, or should I flash all firmware files, but the original one bcz needs to replace it with the patched boot img?

  5. I have a problem, in my case is the Galaxy J6 Plus, appears written in yellow Set Warranty Bit: Recovery, and I can not enter Recovery Mode or Download Mode.
When My Phone starts, the following message appears:
    Verification Failure
    Unable to restart the device.
    The integrity check failed.
You must reset the device to factory default settings.
This will erase all your data.
But the “Reset Doesn’t Work” Button.
I tried “Volume + Volume – Power, Volume + Power and it still doesn’t work.
I tried to root using this tutorial.
    Root J610F
One of the steps is to install Magisk Manager, patch a bin file, and then flash with Odin.
But then it was to reset, and then I forgot and let the phone turn on.
I can’t find any tutorials for my cell phone in question.

    • You have to Wipe the User data in the first Boot. Or Else this problem may occur. You should flash the same firmware file as a patched Image. Try Volume Up+ Power Button to boot into recovery mode and Wipe user data. Don’t delete System OS data.

  6. Sorry to ask too many questions. magisk manager generated magisk_patched.img instead of magisk_patched.tar
I converted img to tar, but the problem is…
Do I need to rename to boot.img? Because I tried to use magisk_patched.tar on Odin and doesn’t work.
    Also still doesn’t have root.
Sorry for annoying you, I want to root my device but is complicated.

    • No Problem…:)
We always here to help you.
The ODIN should detect all .tar files. Change the output format in Magisk. In the settings, select “Patch Boot Output Format” and chose “.img.tar” You can rename the data of the .tar.

  7. Hello, sir, follow all your procedures, but when I flash boot.img.tar Odin fail message come and when I download boot.img.tar from XDA for 8.1.0, it can flash on android 9.0 without any error? Also, please guide me can I downgrade my j6 plus from 9.0 to 8.1.0? Also, please help me. If I have rooted j610f on 8.1.0, I checked all IMEI repair tools for Qualcomm, and all tools work correctly, but nothing changes in IMEI and can not take .qcn file;

    • Hi, Your current firmware and flash firmware version should be the same. Don’t flash other files; Your mobile will brick. Rename the file boot.img.tar into boot.tar. Try with Latest ODIN.

      • Hello, sir, I follow all steps successfully, but my j610fxxu3bl14 can not root. I successfully flash patch magisk boot.tar file and twrp also successfully. Installed magisk 20.1, nothing any error come. 8. Amigo buenos dias quiero hacerte unas preguntas de algo que no entiendo usted dice que hay aud instalar magiks en android y parchear la imagen boot extraida de la carpeta ap y convertir ese archivo boot en.img y despues parchearlo en magiks pero la pregunta es que si tengo que tener el dispositivo rooteado o no roteado antes de hacer eso y la otra es que si tengo que parchear ambos archivos el ap y el boot en el pc? y la imagen de arranque cual es ? O es la ap completa o el boot estraido?y cual es la imagen que tengo que flashear en el pc o la book patcher o el ap antes de instalar el twrp? Y despues usted dice que si no quiero recuperacion personalizada te refieres es al twrp?entonces desoues de borrar datos y restablecimoento de datos le puedo dar en reeboot system now y no se borra el archivo flasheado? Y no entiendo esto Arrancar en sistema operativo rooteado y Arranque de recuperación de existencias me puedes ayudar un poco te agradezco gracias

    • Hai, obtienes el archivo AP en el Stock Firmware extraído. Antes de actualizar el archivo AP, su móvil no será rooteado. Después de parchear usando Magisk, cuando parpadee con la ayuda de ODIN, debe flashear los otros archivos no parcheados junto con AP.

    • Currently, We can only support and make tutorials in blog format. We are working on our Youtube channel. We will surely make tutorials in future.

    • This method is based on TWRP. When you are successfully flashed TWRP and Magisk, the regular boot is rooted OS. It is not like Magisk only method.

  11. Sir, I’m sorry, but this tutorial is confusing when you get the patched-boot.img what you should do after?
These explained to browse all firmware files with a picture of all data are already selected, and none of these is patched file. Then what’s the point you create a patched boot file?

  12. Bro, I just confused. Copy magisk_patched.tar file to your PC. OK I have copied, and now you have flashed the firmware then whee the patched.tar file used

  13. I have flashed magisk.zip v20.4 three times with twrp recovery. But nothing happened. I am not getting root access on my device. And magisk manager is showing not installed on its first page. Please help me brother, to root my phone.

    Espero y me respondas. Gracias.

  17. Bro, I cant understand. I got the patched boot img file converted it to tar, but then where do I save it?
If you could reply fast, it would be much appreciated.
I am following your steps and rooting the device now.

  20. I am confused. Am I right in saying there are two ways of rooting one by magisk alone and another by TWRP and magisk. Please detail the magisk alone method.
