The Google I/O event was canceled last year, 2020, but it’s fully back in 2021 and would hold as a virtual event – free for all interested participants. Google I/O event is a series of developers’ events, where different activities take place. This year’s I/O event is a platform to connect with expert developers worldwide and engage with hands-on learning with Google experts. Also, Google promises to unveil its latest developer products at the event.
With Google I/O 2021 scheduled to run between May 18 – 20, the three-day event will surely give Google a platform to unveil its Android 12 OS. However, Google had released a puzzle for developers to solve before the event. The punchcard puzzle, if solved, reveals the actual dates of the event, which is May 18 – 20.
What should you know about Google I/O Event 2021?
- The event will feature Consumer and Developer Keynotes — focused on “company and product news.”
- There would be Technical Sessions for “product announcements and how to adopt new features.”
- According to 9to5Google, the full program for this event will appear in late May month 2021.
- Google I/O 2021 will be held virtually, and everyone is eligible to attend. You can also register for Workshops to learn from expert instructors, and the workshops would also feature Q & Q&A and Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions.
- For “Meetup” sessions, you are required to register and book your reservation (free). Google I/O Meetups are “casual, open, facilitated forums hosted by Google that enable attendees to connect.”
- The event will also feature Codelabs and Learning Pathways for participants to learn and adopt Google technology.
- Technical Sessions and keynotes will be available on-demand
In this event, Google is likely to unveil the rumored Pixel Buds and Pixel 5a devices. The 3-day event would be very intensive and a great learning platform for many developers worldwide.
How to Solve Google I/O 2021 Online Event All Ten Puzzles?
To reveal this event’s date, some developers had to solve the punchcard puzzle, and gladly, they shared how they did it. After finding the first step quote owner, You have to go through a punch card puzzle with four stages.
Puzzle 1: Quote Find
You will have to fill in the name of the Quote owner. You can copy and paste it on Google search to find the person. The quote is mentioned as follows- “It matters little who first arrives at an idea, rather what is significant is how far that idea can go.” The Person is “Sophie Germain.”
Puzzle 2- Stage 1: Spell out “Hello World” using a punch card
You can follow the below pattern to achieve the Hellow World words with a punch card. Don’t forget the space between the “Hello” and “World.”
So, To make it easier, Let’s consider the first two empty rows as “A” and “B.” Following the numbers, we consider it the same. Follow the below pattern for respective letters.

Same as Puzzle 1. You will have to fill in the name of the Quote owner. You can copy and paste it on Google search to find the person. The quote is mentioned as follows- “Mathematical science is the language of the unseen relations between things. But to use and apply that language we must be able fully to appreciate, to feel, to seize, the unseen, the unconscious.”. The Person is “Ada Lovelace”.
Puzzle 4- Stage 2A- Complete the punch card
So, To make it easier, Let’s consider the first two rows as “A” and “B,” including the empty row. Following the numbers, we consider it the same. Follow the below pattern for respective letters. There are already locked rows, and values are there. In this punch card, two sub-punch cards are there—the main one with huge numbers and an additional one as a tail punch card. When we solve the Main punch card, It will automatically fill in the tail card’s values.

Leave A2345D columns. After this, You will find the space, Here fill “B3”. You will get “L.” The Main Punch card job is over. Select Submit.
Puzzle 5- Stage 2B- Complete the punch card
Again, To make it easier, Let’s consider the first two rows as “A” and “B” are the empty row. Following the numbers, we consider it the same. Follow the below pattern for respective letters. There are already locked rows, and values are there.

Puzzle 6- Stage 2C- Complete the punch card

Puzzle 7- Quote Guess
Same as above Quote Puzzles. You will have to fill in the name of the Quote owner. You can copy and paste it on Google search to find the person. The quote is mentioned as follows- “Information by itself never does anything. It still consists of a human being who turns it into something we might call knowledge.”. The Person is “Grace Hopper.”
Puzzle 8- Arrange Punch cards
This task is simple to compare with others. You have to Arrange cards back-to-front: Blue, Red, Orange, Green.
Puzzle 9- Quote Guess
The quote mentioned as follows- “I was able to stand on the shoulders of those women who came before me, and women who came after me were able to stand on mine.”. The Person is “Christine Darden.”
Puzzle 10- Punch Card Sort
It is an Easy One. But When you change the sort order, It will collapse. So, Follow the steps carefully. When you miss or change the order, Then Reload the page; it will open the Final stage again for you.
- After you enter into final Stage, You will get the bunch of Punch cards lineup.
- Press the “Sort” button. Order the Functions from 1-6 in the correct order.
- Navigate to the 79 column using arrow keys on your Keyboard. Instead of Single Press, Long Press, and you can jump to huge numbers.
- Now in the 79 columns, Select “Sort.”
- After 79 Sort, From Backwards perform sort for every Column- 79 to 78, 77, 76, 75, 74, 73, 72, 71, 70.
- After you finish 70, Select “Submit.” Now you can see the Google I/O 2021 Event date.
Google I/O 2021 Event Date
Google’s I/O event is not the only developers’ event holding this year. Apple had earlier announced that its World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) would hold between June 7-11, and Microsoft’s Microsoft Build is scheduled to run from May 25 to 27 – all these events will be held virtually; you can attend from anywhere you are around the world.
