Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S21 2021 year flagship mobile with Snapdragon 888 processor. There are three variants released in the S21 series. As usual, the Ultra variant comes with powerful specs and S Pen. Even if all variants come to switch attractive hardware specs, Samsung eliminates the SD card slot in all variants. Usually, Samsung always releases the “S” series flagship mobiles in March month. Due to the current situation, everyone thought the launch would take a long time. But Samsung released the S21 series two months than the regular March month schedule. All variants come with two choices- sub 6 and mmWave. When you are in US regions, You should buy the mmWave variant to access Verizon Wireless.

Features of New Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Mobiles

Samsung finally introduced the Galaxy S21 series flagship mobiles. These flagship mobiles are full of new features and attractions like updated image sensors, high screen refresh rate, S pen support, and up to 512GB internal storage, but there is one thing that Samsung slipped from the features. And that is, Samsung removed the SD slots from the new series that really differentiates Galaxy from other flagship mobiles. The newly introduced Galaxy S21 series includes Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. These flagship mobiles are equipped with many new features. Let’s take a look at these features.

The new Galaxy series introduced a stylish and iconic shape. The contour cut camera housing blends into the metallic frame giving an aesthetic look. There is one difference in the back of these two phones. The S21 has the matte plastic back, as found on the S20 FE, while S21+ has a glass back.

Display Size

There is only screen size variation in both S21 and S21 Plus phones. Samsung designed the S21 for those who love the compact size; that is why S21 has a 6.2-inch screen with an edge-to-edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X infinity-O display. Whereas, S21 plus has a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate that give meaning to scrolling. This huge screen will give you a new gaming experience.

It automatically adjusts the frame rate based on the content, either you are watching your favorite show or reading the E-Book contents. It is equipped with a new Eye Comfort Shield that automatically reduces the blue light based on daylight to reduce eye fatigue.

Both the Galaxy sets are offering 5G connectivity with mmWave support this time. The integrated 5G modem will give you a new experience of high speed and reliable connectivity.

Operating System

Galaxy S21 series flagship mobile will be shipped with Android 11 with One UI 3.1.

Samsung Ditched the SD Card Slot

This time you won’t get the SD Card extension on any of the new Galaxy S21 models. Earlier, Samsung removed the audio jack, and now we lost the SD card slot. Samsung doesn’t think it is necessary to have an SD card to upgrade from 128GB to 256GB for just $50. And with a little amount, you can get 512GB on the new Galaxy model.

It is certainly bad news for the customer who is already using high-capacity SD cards up to 1TB of storage for storing music and videos on their older models. Surely a downgrade for such customers!

Galaxy S21 starts from $799 that is surely a price cut than the previous year’s new model as of $999. Whereas Galaxy S21 Plus starts from $999, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra starts from $1199.

The pre-order has started on January 14, 2021, and the customers will get the shipment from January 29, 2021

Wrap Up

Samsung removed chargers in S21 in few regions. The reason may be for the accessory they have to depend on the third-party manufacturing unit, affecting the shipments. It is a big step for Samsung to introduce three flagship mobiles at the start of the new year. These models are powered by newly launched Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 888 for the USA and Exynos 2100 for European countries. These models will set the benchmarks for both chipsets that will decide the performance and fate of these. Although these models are equipped with many new features, removing the SD card slot is bad for many customers. It seems in the future you will get port-less phones only. Do tell us in the comments if you are too feeling bad without an SD card slot in these new models.
