The success of Sony PlayStation 4 and 5 is their flexibility, and the hardware they provide is better. Sony provides Blu-Ray and Stream supports from PlayStation 4. But some of the apps don’t provide full features. Even though Disney+ has 4K and HDR support as a native, PS5 supports only limited features and resolution. With the recent update and the Sony PlayStation patch, Sony Playstation 5 got Disney+ 4K HDR Support.

Sony Playstation 5 got Disney+ 4K HDR Support.
Disney has announced that a new Disney Plus app is now available globally for Sony’s PlayStation 5. Unlike the previous version, which was just a PS4 app running on the unique console, the new software is designed natively for PS5. The critical difference for viewers is that Disney Plus now supports 4K HDR playback; the previous app had been limited to 1080p for all this time.
You can watch the service’s catalog and recent originals like Andor, Hocus Pocus 2, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law in all their Ultra HD glory. You can download the new PS5 Disney Plus app from the media section of the home screen. Those in Latin America can download a Star Plus app based on native PS5 code.
“A key part of our global expansion strategy is to meet consumers wherever they are, which is why we’re excited to enhance both Disney Plus and Star Plus for PlayStation 5 users,” said Jerrell Jimerson, EVP of product and design for Disney streaming. “The ability to support 4K HDR video streaming on the platform will also improve the viewing experience for fans.” That’s putting it lightly, I’d say.
To stream Disney Plus in 4K HDR quality on your PS5, you’ll need a paid subscription to Disney Plus. You will need at least a 25Mbps to 35Mbps internet connection.
When you have hardware resources, The software should provide better support to utilize available features. When they don’t, there is no use in having or spending money on the products and devices. Did you get the Sony Playstation 5 Disney+ 4K HDR Support? Did it work well? Even though it is a late process finding and rolling out the must-need Disney+ 4K support is an appreciated one.
