Nokia Android TV Box will release soon with Numbered Remote buttons

Even if Smart TVs are comfortable in many ways, the control always not comfortable like smartphones. In the name of minimal remote, Most of the companies cut down the controls. Yes, We can ask Google Assistant for some settings. But the result is not always 100% accurate. We always prefer remote controls for TVs. Nokia already launched an Android-based TV box. Now Nokia is working on new Android TV devices that have Numbered Remote buttons with Mute and other necessary option buttons. The remote control should have basic control buttons for reducing our inputs. Bring back the old remote model in new Nokia Stream devices is a good idea.

The Austrian company StreamView GmbH, an official license holder for Nokia brands, is launching the first set-top box, the Nokia Streaming Box 8000, before this Christmas in Europe. You can use this device in your Non-Smart TV and convert it to Android TV like Mi TV Stick.

Who is Streamview GmbH?

StreamView is an Austrian company with head office situated in the heart of Europe, Austria. It is one of those companies that has got the license to use its product’s Nokia brand. After the recent agreement with HMD Global, StreamView has become the official licensee of Nokia to launch its Set-Top Boxes, Smart TVs, and DAB+ radios for Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. StreamView is manufacturing state-of-the-art devices with the Nokia brand and bringing the Nokia legacy into catalogs.

It has nothing to do with Nokia or HMD Global except that StreamView, being an official licensee, uses the brand name Nokia for its streaming product. Along with these, it has a USB 3.0 Type-A port, a USB Type-C port for connecting mobiles, and an optical audio & AV-out port. A dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 is also available for faster connectivity.

This streaming box will be running Android TV 10 for smoothly playing 4K display resolutions.

The streaming box 8000 will have pre-installed many apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+. Other popular streaming services can be installed from the Google Play Store as well. Other features of this streaming box are built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant remote control.

The StreamView is launching this streaming box in European countries at a price tag of €100 that is slightly high as the best streaming boxes are available under $100 in the USA. Usually, most of the electronic devices price is high in European regions. But the company didn’t say any words about its launch in other countries than Europe. For European countries, it will be available for sale before this Christmas. The retail package will have a set-top box, a remote control, a power adaptor, and an HDMI cable.
