OnePlus confirms OnePlus 8 series will have LPDDR5 RAM, Snapdragon 865 processor, and UFS 3.0 Storage

Before the OnePlus 7 series, the OnePlus team always release only one mobile in the year starting and the “T” variant after six months. But, After OnePlus 7, they changed their strategy. Along with the special McLaren Edition, Last year, they released five options (7, 7 Pro, 7T, 7T Pro). As per this new strategy on April 14, 2020, OnePlus will release OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro with their official specs details.

LPDDR5 RAM vs. LPDDR4X RAM

Even if Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro already comes with LPDDR5 RAM, When it is released with manufacturers like OnePlus or Google, We can see the potential. Because with the Stock Android experience, there will be some stable feedbacks.LPDDR5 RAM has a speed of 6,400 Mbps compare with the LPDDR4X RAM 4,266 Mbps speed capacity. In real-time usage, the rate may vary, But, when you have 1000 Mbps+ rate, you will surely notice the difference. Both OnePlus 8 and the Pro version will come with LPDDR5 RAM.

Snapdragon 865 processor

Whenever Snapdragon releases a significant number compared with the old one, It means they improved a lot on their processor. Snapdragon 865 processor has the following improvements. • Qualcomm Kryo 585 7nm Octa-Core processor.
  • 64 Bit Architecture.
  • Can support 2.84 GHz Clock Speed.
  • It comes with Adreno 650 GPU. It supports Vulkan 1.1 API.
  • 5G Technology
  • 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) Display Support at 60Hz, QHD+ (2560 × 1440 pixels) support up to 144Hz.
  • HDR10 and HDR10+ Support.
  • Can support 2.84 GHz Clock Speed.
  • Snapdragon 865 can support up to 200 MP Camera.

Why is UFS 3.0 storage best to compare with UFS 2.1?

I also covered the topic of why UFS 3.0 is best to compare with UFS 2.1. I will give some highlights. UFS 3.0 offers about 2X increase in speed, utilizing twice the bandwidth of the UFS 2.1 standard. This speed will push transfer speed up to 11.6 Gbps per lane, and since there are dual channels, a hyper-speed of 23.2 Gbps is achievable. Also, UFS 3.0 is designed to utilize less power and make flash storage consistent at higher temperatures. With UFS 3.0, one can record 4k or even 8k videos with mobile phones without any hassles. Devices with UFS 3.0 are faster in reading/writing large chunks of data to/from the storage.

The below comparison can give you further details about the specs. The 3.0 version is way better storage, and It can boost your mobile speed in real-time.
