While there is no regularized available for Android TV and TV boxes, Xiaomi is the only company that provides proper software support with Play Store and other Google Apps. Until that, most Un-Popular companies were in the market, and they didn’t work as many official products. After Xiaomi got success with their Mi TV Stick and Box, Tech giant Google also came to the game with its Chromecast Google TV device. Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max is launched with 4K HDR, 4GB+64GB, Dolby, and DTS for $75.

Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max launched
The Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max was officially launched in China. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The frustrating storage and performance limitations of Google’s flagship Chromecast with Google TV made it difficult for Xiaomi to ensure these issues were gone on the streaming box.
Specifications for Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max
The Xiaomi Mi Box 4S max now includes the Amlogic S905X3 SoC. This Quad-Core is manufactured at 12 nm. This chip features 1.5 GHz speeds and integrates a mali-G31 MP2 CPU. This SoC is demonstrated in a comparison article for the S905X3.
The video decoding section features the Amlogic Video Engine 10 VPU with basic HDR support. This VPU doesn’t have an AV1 codec which limits its 8K content, something it boasts in its advertisements. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage. We are certain that we can expand via the USB-OTG port. However, it remains to be determined.
We find embedded wifi, AC dual-band, and Bluetooth in the field of wireless connectivity. However, it does not have AV1 support. There are only two connectors in the box: a Type-A port and a video output HDR.
This TV-Box comes with an operating system, MIUI TV, specifically designed for China and runs under Android 11. A Bluetooth remote control and microphone for Google Assistant are standard features. They have a rather conventional design. It supports Dolby and DTS audio. However, it doesn’t have Dolby Vision and Atmos support. These certificates are only for the Western streaming market.
Inside the Retail Box
Inside the Xiaomi 4S Max Box Retail Box, you can find 1x Xiaomi 4S Max Box, 1x Remote, 1x HDMI Cable, 1x Power Adapter, and 1x HDMI Cable, 2x Battery, and 1x Manual.
The TV Box is currently only in China. As it is not equipped with the certificates necessary to view Prime Video, YouTube, or other streaming services, it will be required to wait until the Global version is available. As usual, we have remote control and a microphone that We can use to send commands to the Chinese assistant for the TV systems.
Xiaomi 4S Max Box Global Availability
It is not yet clear when the product will be available on international markets. We can only hope that the new streamer from Xiaomi will be available in other markets, as Xiaomi has been open to selling its products outside China.
However, Xiaomi introduced the Mi TV box 4K to India in 2020. It was the first Indian-made device of its kind, despite being in China for many years. However, the Mi TV Stick was quickly introduced after its global launch.
Xiaomi has listed the Mi Box 4S Max for 499 Yuan ($75) on its official China storefront. Although the price may seem appealing, it is not clear if Xiaomi will make this set-top box available outside of China.
When it comes to reasonable price consumer product success, Xiaomi is always placed number one. They always made everything within the limit of the price range. A slight price change can stop the user from buying the product. When Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max launched in the Global market, We expected good sales. Since Xiaomi always made few changes for Global products, We can expect Official Google apps and other popular stream apps to be included in the Global version.
